The 2023 State of FAST, produced in partnership between Xumo and Comcast Advertising, explores the exponential growth of free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) among advertisers and consumers, and the role it is playing in modern multiscreen TV advertising plans today.
The report is comprised of data insights from across Comcast Advertising and Xumo Play, as well as custom research with advertisers and agency executives across the industry. These insights resulted in an in-depth and quantitative look at the current state of FAST in the US. The study reveals that 84% of FAST buyers think they will increase their investments in the channel in 2024.
Every month, FAST channels are attracting tens of millions of viewers due to the plethora of high-quality programming including content like local news, niche sports, themed movies, enthusiast TV shows, and more. The results of this research highlights how the advertising industry is responding to FAST, and their increasing interest in its monetization potential.
